My son is in pediatric ICU at Scottish Rite in Atlanta. He has pneumonia and other infections and is currently on a ventilator. We came in last night via ambulance from Blairsville after a day in the hospital there. That's the bad news.

The good news is that he's rapidly improving and we may be able to get him off the vent tomorrow. I also got his mom (who is currently growing his little brother) to go back home so she can sleep in a real bed where it's quiet and not worry about being around sick people. I'm staying with him and I think I have everything I need, so no worries there.

Just if you will, send some prayer, healing, mojo, vibes, whateveryagot to the little guy so we can get out of here well and soon.

Thanks,

Tom

Wow man, good luck to your little one....You're in the right place though, they are top notch there and make you feel at ease...That said, I can't image how your feeling, having two little ones myself I know how helpless you can feel as a parent when your kids are sick....

Chin up man.....He'll be just fine.

Whoo-hoo!:handclap:

We got the ventilator tube out of him, and he's on BiPAP now with a mask instead. They're putting a tank of HeliOx (21% oxygen, 79% helium) in him now because it's lower density than air. Next step is to move to a nasal device and then maybe he can eat. No word yet on when we'll be getting out, but every step forward is a step closer.

Thanks for all the support.
