Track bike wanted

I want to get on the track, but I don't want to monkey with my street bike. I need to find a reasonably priced track bike (really want a deal though lol). Really looking for an 05-06 600 or 750 that is ready for someone to take to the track and learn the ropes.

Whats your budget? I've found a 04 R6 for $2200 and a 04 600RR for $2000. I have yet to see a 05-06 anything for less than $3500 though. I'm looking for a bike too but I dont know if I want to spend all my money on an extra bike just yet.

I know this is a dodgy answer, but the budget really depends on the bike. In other words, I want to be under $4k. However, if the right track ready bike comes along for $5k, then I'll give it a close look. currently, there are a few nice bikes on the WERA forums at reasonable prices, but they are all a pretty far piece from where I live.
ie. $4800 asking price for a prepped 06 750; 08 zx10 $5950; 03 R1 $3800.

But like I said, they are all too far away for me to mess with.

check out the sv650's too, plenty available, and well priced. thats what im in the market for to start at the track. you can get a great deal on one fully set up

Laz, this is an 06 GSXR 600 in great shape, no street bodywork, but full track plastics. IMO, its a SMOKING deal for $3000. I went and looked at the bike 2 weeks ago for a fellow WERA racer in New Jersey, but he found a bike locally for about the same money and didnt have to pay the shipping to get it up there.

i have a 06 gsxr 600 i will part for 2800 firm has salvage title frame and motorcycle fax history for bike..bought from iowa at qcsa auto auction.and redone.. but never had bike reinspected..email me streetstang1@hotmail.com
