Not too much junk on the road, within a half mile of Hikers stop, more loose stuff on the edges and middle, but, all in all, very nice.
Lots of people out. Lots of fun. Could use a little rain to wash off the salt residue, it was a little slick.

No problems on 129, but 60 from the Rock Pile got a little sketchy the closer you got to Suches and 180 wasn't worth it at all....pea gravel through every turn.

I was up there in the Cage today and wishing I was on the bike... The roads looked decent for this time of year! The wife's IS likes the corners!

i was up on 17/75 and part of 129 today in the Z06. there was A LOT of gravel in the road. I road the east end of 180 too from Brasstown Bald to 17/75 and it was worse. I wouldnt want to be on a bike up there any time soon.

Be safe up there if you are riding everyone... The worst roads are the ones that are clear part of the way. Keep your speed down so you are not caught off guard until we get more rain.

Let me know when you have time to come up for the weekend. We'll do what some of my friends who came over last summer from Charlotte called the "boot camp"! You'll learn the roads! :) Btw, rode 28 (among a few others) yesterday from Franklin north all alone. Not another vehicle on the road until we almost got to the four lane (74). 60 degrees, sunny, dry road, and clean.

Funny to see so many conflicting reports on the road conditions. I should just post a Vid of 60/180/129/348/75. Will be back up again this weekend though; it's good discipline!

HI TONY !!!!!!!!!!!1
Healed up, ready to go?

I was telling Scott I needed to contact you.

Don't listen to the naysayers... hahahahahah
the gravel makes it easier to spin that back tire.
A little loose on the front furnishes excitement (peeing pants comes to mind)

Go for it -- and I can show you where I still saw ice patches on the road Saturday afternoon on 60.
