Wayah Road - Alternate way to gap - ????

Haven't been to the gap in while...always went straight up 129 or took the Cherry Cola.

129 from Murphy to Robbinsville is a yawner.

How is Wayah Road?

64 east of Hayesville (my hood) is the main east west to Franklin. It's all four lane. Mountains but highway. More interesting than the Murphy route which I commute on. Wayah right now has been very gravely, rutty, potholes, etc. It really needs a repave. You can run it but, it may not be what you expect. That being said it can change week to week. Have fun.

Last time I was on Wayah Road the pavement was pretty bad. Nice scenery, though.

wayah is fun 28 north all the way to the Gap is great fun pick it up at Warwoman outside of Clayton.

It's very scenic....follows a river, but the road conditions suck.
