Where is a cheap place to get them? And why the hell do people want so much $ for them?

I feel your pain. I have a 3 monitor setup and it has been impossible to find any sort of stand/armature that will support all 3 that is < $1K. In fact, I haven't really found anything that works AT ALL because I need somethign that will hold a 24" and 2 20" monitors... The best they ever seem to support are 3 20".

If you guys are interested, I can price 1, 2, or 3 appropriately sized individual cantilever mounts, if that's an option.

I just recently installed these for an application that the military is using.

We use 1 over 3 setups the most, but you should be able to find what you need here for way under 1k.

Thanks for that link. Those prices don't look bad for those setups at all.
