Anyone here do window tinting?

While at Charleston this weekend, a branch off of a tree in the parking lot fell and shattered my back window on our G6 convertible. The Tea Plantation was very cool about it and actually paid for the entire repair, making sure we got everything done yesterday. That was quite an accomplishment, trust me.

The rear window is back in, and that's great. The only thing is I now need to have the rear window tinted again. If I asked the Tea Plantation, they would pay for it but they were so good to us, I'm just going to pay for that part myself.

Soooo, anyone here do window tinting themselves or recommend anyone?

I don't have any input, but good on you for not going the "American" route (VERY much sarcastic) and sticking it to the hotel just because you can.

They really were great about it. I just am not going to try to take someone for something like this. In all honesty, they could have said act of God and be done with it. Instead, if we hadn't been able to find a glass shop before Monday, the owner was going to give us his personal car for the rest of the weekend until they took care of the car. I was floored!

The glass really was the best option. If the branch had hit the roof or the truck there would have been a really good chance of the roof mechanism being damaged.

Hey, gave us a reason to drink for the weekend. :D

Is it a flat window? I'm thinking most vert windows are but i don't know much about a G6.

Its primarily flat, nowhere near the curve of a windshield. Does have a rear window defroster involved. I know that can make things a little more difficult sometimes.
