Bogey's is opening a new location (other one is Towne Lake, Woodstock) by taking over Highlands and they're making big changes and are excited about us re-starting our sportbike-night! They're redoing the kitchen, bar, adding a 10' screen, and moving their awesome menu down to the "new" location. I've been going to the old location for over 10 years when we used to have a WERA trivia team there on Thursday nights!
Since the season is just starting I thought it would be best for us to start the right way with training that we all should know but hope to never use: first aid / buddy care. This presentation will be taught by Marietta Fire Department EMT / first responders who also ride! The class concept is "what can I do or shouldn't do until help arrives" for someone involved in a motorcycle crash. With some of us being way up in the mountains far from the closest ambulance this will really be invaluable information during the initial and most important time immediately after the accident.
The rep for Leatt will also be there to discuss their new STREET / TRACK version of their famous and very successful neck brace. You've seen the motocross riders being protected by these for years, now they've developed a version that works over leathers (even with humps) and still allows us full range of motion while tucked over!
This year we'll still have bike nights on Tuesdays but we'll only have something "scheduled" for one Tuesday a month. Usually the last Tuesday of the month. So ride out and meet the new owners, reintroduce yourselves to everyone, have a great meal, and get yourself some knowledge that one day may help save a life.
Bogies on George Busbee Pkwy (off Barett Pkwy) in Kennesaw
Meet there at 7:00 or shop at 6:00
