I am looking into getting a 05 Suzuki Gsx-R 750 when I can afford it. I was wondering on what some of your opinions where on what your favorite exhaust(s) are with or without adding a power commander. As for myself, I am partial to Yoshimura's and HR1's. Just wanted to hear some opinions.

The reason I like Yoshimura exhausts is because I had one on my old bike and loved it.

I have a Yosh RS-5 on my RR and I love it. Akrapovic makes a great exhaust too but for the Gixxer, I'd just get a Yosh pipe. Shouldnt need a PC with just a slipon either.

Yea with a slip-on I know you shouldn't need a PC, but I was wanting to go full exhaust this time instead of just a slip on.

The '05 stock headers were actually pretty stout, and the cat comes off with a slip on if I recall correctly. I'd look at a slip on, maybe a mid pipe, and a power commader with a good tune. I run a M4 full system on my '08 750. Got about 10 extra horsepower out of it after the tune, not to mention that it always gets complemented on it's mean sound at the track. Overall, look at them all and go with what you like the best, I doubt any of them are going to blow any of the others away, maybe 1 or 2 HP, so I'd go with whatever you like the best.

We did an install on a 2005 GSXR 1000, Full M4 GP pipe, K&N Filter, PC V, Tuned at Livengoods turned out 168.1 RWP. The initial dyno before the tune was 151 rwhp. So over the stock exhaust and tune the customer gained over 20 rear wheel horsepower.

I like the exhaust that came on my cousins Bmw s1000rr. Akrapovic sounds pretty nice and has top quality part's. Too bad trying to get a hold of replacement parts took forever when his carbon fiber piece cone got taken off from my Puck's. 4 week's is a long time tho for a cone tip.

I put an M4 shorty slip-on on my old 06' 750, and I loved it.

I listened to many clips on youtube before making my decision.

As for dyno numbers, those things are so easy to skew, that I often wonder about anything that is ever posted regarding them. the only way to compare numbers is from the exact same dyno. I had my 750 dyno tuned on a dyno that is very close to the one Star racing/G2 uses (based on putting the same bike on both dynos). With a pc3, M4 shorty, BMC race filter....mine tuned out to 112 at the tire. I did not dyno it before hand, so I don't know the actual change. When I bought my 1krr, I got a baseline number first....145hp. I installed a Bazzaz z-FI, Yoshi r-77 full system, BMC filter, and had it tuned.....149hp. The final numbers don't show much change, but the way the bike rides is completely different. Now it tries to power wheelie in third at 120. It didn't do that before.

If the cash were there, I would have likely gone with Akro. I love the r-77 sound though.

I guess the point to my rambling....do as much personal hands on research and listening as you can.

Leo Vince hands down....plus they run some killer sales on older models. Picked up a full titanium setup for my 06 zx10r new from the factory for $400.

I think what I will do, since this is gonna be a while away and when I do get a bike again I'm gonna wanna just ride asap lol, I'll just buy a good Yoshi slip-on and maybe a K&N filter. Then save and buy a good full exhaust and a PC and go from there.
