For any of you that enjoy the action up close and personal, we're racing this weekend. Usually have some bigger names for the endurance on Saturday. BBoz was there last year... Sprints are on Sunday, 18 races. Action starts at noon each day. Weather is supposed to be perfect!

I'm racing, who else around here is showing up to race or watch? Concentrating on the just the 1000 this year so A superbike, A superstock, & Formula 1.

Only if I sweep the top spot of my races for the 1st 3 weekends.... plus WERA might bump me anyways...

But first, I must finish...and win...

Congrats Nikk!! Saw on mylaps where you won A Nov.

Thanks!!! :) won A superbike, A superstock, and Formula 1... nice start to the season. Form 1 was rough as I ran off turn 9 at about 120mph, got kinda crazy in the sand but merged back onto the front straight and only lost 2-3 spots.... was able to real them back in and check out for the win! I can't seem to go to the track without playing in the dirt at some point! Didn't hit the 1.14 I wanted but I got close! 1.15.01

Freaking Jake Lewis and Garrett Gerloff were amazing!!! Jake ran a 1.10.6 (new 600 track record and a tenth of a second off the overall track record set on a 1000!!! while he was on a 600) and Garrett ran a 1.10.7 on his 600! They both split wins in the 600 classes while Jake bumped up and won the 750 classes too! Jake had only been to that track 1 time before and had never been on the bike he raced!!! Them kids are amazing!!!

o i remember those days EXTREMELY well. My last novice season tho, i didnt go out and win my first 3 races like someone else just did. :D

My first season on the 1000.... On the 600 I rarely did better then 4th or 5th. I honestly wasn't comfortable jumping into the expert class on a bike with so much more power and having only raced it at 2 events while crashing out bad at one of those.... I just opted to stay novice and concentrate on one bike this year. Think I picked the right one. If you look at my record, it's not stellar and would not have gotten me a nod to go expert had I not did well at one race on the 1000. Plus...ask the folks that race how well they like the zx10r. I'm racing a bike that everyone says handles like a brick!!! Ohlins and Opie have helped me come far with the handling!!!

I've been on the track for just over 2 years total including trackdays so to say I'm sandbagging or cherry picking is a bit of a stretch. I had never rode in the mountains or anything curvy till trackdays. So I wasn't an ex-mountain master or dirt bike king. Actually never been on a dirt bike. I think it's kinda crazy to have one good season of racing and to jump in there with expert/professional racers. And if I'm a cherry picker after 2 years of on track riding, there are some far worse who have raced, taught, and then came back to racing and cleaned house. I'm just having fun. It's a nice change to go home with a trophy!!! or 3!
