The shop I work at is starting to have weekly rides again. We will be leaving from the shop in Murphy, NC every Saturday at 2pm. We are located about 45 minutes from Helen, close to The Dragon, Cherehola, Blood Mtn, Wolf Pen Gap, etc. Routes are really not planned as of right now, just depends on the turn out and what everyone wants.

If anyone is interested in more information you can post here, or call me (Zach) at the shop between 10-6 Tuesday-Friday and 10-2 on Saturdays at 828-837-7333

Haha sweet, I had no idea anyone was THAT close by. Hopefully we will have pretty good turnouts for these.

First one for the year is tomorrow. Lots of interest so far, weather should be nice!

Hit the Dragon today. Weather was perfect. Big crowd for a weekday in early season. What time you guys leaving tomorrow and where to? We were going out early. We may be able to hook up with your group somewhere along the way.

Leaving the shop at 2, basically the plan is to let the group decide where we head. I'm dying to get rid of these chicken strips, getting a new tire right before you store it for the winter always has me itching to hit The Dragon, Blood, or Wolf Pen early in the season.

Since that is a Saturday we will be holding a ride if you'd like to join us. I've not even got 40 miles on my new rear right now.

We'll be there with the ETR Beginning of Season Bash! It will be our first chance to attend since we just moved up from Florida. I'll let you know what our plans are once I know for sure. Either staying w/ friends at DGMR or at Fontana. I'm suppose to set up a meeting with Will the catering mgr to discuss menu for our Rally in July.

For the most part yes. Very light gravel in the usual spots but nothing that can't be negotiated easily. But, I guess clean is a relevant term as we've already discussed once before. :) Where I live we have cow and horse manure as well as hay, tractor mud, and gravel on the many of the roads so you kinda get used to working around it. :) May be going up that way again today. Or, south to GA. I'll let the weather decide.

I hear ya. Well, if we get a late start I'll be there. If not like I said I'll stop by the shop this week to say hello and do a meet. Have fun today weather is looking good as far as I can see right now.

From what I've rode everything around here looks good. Saw some gravel on 180 yesterday, but not bad at all.

Zach-Nice meeting you at the shop. You guys have some good stuff planned. Hope your ride went well today. We went up to the Dragon again. It was an unbelievable day. The road was as clean and dry as a race track. Very light traffic and no enforcement all day. Got to see all the 9 minute guys do their thing. Just a great day. Tomorrow going south if the weather holds up.

Nice glad to hear it was pretty good up there, was killboy out taking pics?

We had a smallish group, but had a good ride. We were all pretty hungry so we hit some back roads, then over Unicoi to Helen, then came back through and hit 180. Not too long of a ride but everyone had a good time.
