I wont be able to get my bike until the end of the summer and I was wondering if late july/early august would be too crowded or should I try to take the class as soon as I can like within a month from now

Do you ride at all now? If not, and you have no access to a bike, then take the course as close to getting the bike as you can. You will need to use the momentum of having just taken the course to practice on your own bike for a while before hitting the streets. If there is a big gap between taking the course and getting the bike, you may forget some key technical skills.
I waited 7 months after taking the course and I had to practically relearn everything. The ones that had a bike at home already, went home on day 1 and played. They were further along right from the start.
Good luck and be safe!!

Thanks for your concern zippo but I'm a life guard so I'm hoping that it won't be that bad for me

Yeah, I didn't think it was going to be too bad when I took my ERC in June. Heat index of 110 while wearing a black helmet, textile jacket with a long sleeve shirt, heavy jeans with my boots. It sucked sooo bad.

Well it looks like im going to burn because I think it might be a waste if I do it now and I cant get on a bike until july. Does this sound logical? I dont mean to question what you said ninjagirl but does anyone think I wont forget?

Well, it is logical to take it closer to when you get your motorcycle, other than it being hot I would just sign up for a course that is open (they fill up fast)

Take it closer to when you get your bike. It will be hot in the summer, but just drink a lot of water and wear light clothes. An underarmour undershirt helped me tremendously. The best way to learn is to practice. If you take it now and let the knowledge sit for 4 months, you'll surely forget stuff.
Yeh no way I'd take it in the middle of the summer.
All day out on the blacktop with gloves, jacket(long sleeves), jeans and a helmet. Hell no!
I took mine in mid Jan. and still had to shed layers.
