So my job gave me some tickets to the Thrashers game at Philips Arena. Not only have I never been to a hockey game but I've also never been to Philips Arena so I have a couple questions.
I have seats up in section 315. If there are empty seats that are better can I move down? Also where is there near Philips Arena thats good to eat? I will have my family with me.

There is a huge food court in the CNN buoilding that is attached to Philips. It has all kinds of food from fast food to restaurants. I don't know about the seat question though.

Ah sweet. That make things simple and easy.
Does anyone know about parking? Is there a parking lot at the Arena? I guess I could look on their site for this.

Bring at least a sweater as it'll be a bit chilly in there (it IS ice after all!) Hockey is MUCH better in person than on TV. They put on a pretty good show. I also suggest taking MARTA there as it'll be easier getting in/out.
Of course, the last Thrashers game I went to was several years ago, and my date and I spent the whole time making out, so I didn't see much of the game. LOL

Yes there's a parking deck right between CNN Center, the GWCC and the Dome and Phillips. They're all right next to each other.

Ok good. I dont even know where MARTA runs. I don't think theres a MARTA station near me. I dont mind driving.

The games are usually about half full, you can easily move around.

Awesome. I didn't think hockey would get that much love.

You'll love it. We go to the Thrasher's games whenever possible. Very fun! Plenty of parking around right at it. Would not worry about Marta at all. Food in the food court is good and there's several sit down restaurants there as well. Once you're in your section, they really don't say anything about you moving around. Have fun!

Thanks. I haven't been into hockey since the mid to late 90s when I was a Penguins fan when they had Mario Lemieux, Jagr. This kid let me borrow NHL 95 for Super Nintendo and I took the goalies off, man that was fun. Hated playing with the goalies though.

I'd take MARTA, but I also rarely leave those games sober (I was just down there last Tues... cracked my phone screen chasing a MARTA train for fun.... stupid me haha). Everyone else has it covered though, eat at the CNN center (there's a place in there that's $6 for a 32oz draft beer, ANYTHING they have on tap). If you enjoy peanuts or sunflower seeds or the like, bring your own (4.50 for a bag of peanuts).
