I pretty much like all of the IPA's with exception of most of the double IPA's. I cannot get past the "creamy" taste/texture that most high gravity beers have. To me it is just not a characteristic that a beer should have. If a beer is much higher than about 7.5% alc, I likely will not like it. I think my favorite IPA to date is Stone, but it is fairly expensive $11 a 6 pack.
Also, if anyone has any suggestions for bitter beer, I would be thankful to hear them. I like really hopy beer, like IPA's.

After my trip through Baja, I drink Tecate pretty regularly. I always think about Baja when I see the logo.
I also enjoy a good Dos Equis, Amber or Special. Probably my favorite beer regarding taste.

I just recently tried the Left Hand Widdershins (10%) at Taco Mac, and it was awesome. Strong, kinda like the scotch of beers.. but awesome!

Dos Equis Amber is surprisngly a great tasting beer for the little change that is cost at mexican resturants! When I was in Mexico I drank a lot of Sol. It was a decent lager, much better than Corona.

My favs are locally brewed.
Sweetwater 420, IPA, Blue, Brown
Terrapin is my fav though - Big Hoppy Monster, Hopsecutioner, Rye Pale Ale,
Also enjoy Dogfish Head and most hoppy ales..
Victory has good brews as well:
Hop Wallop and Hop Devil are great. Hop Devil has a little hot sauce in it for just the right amount of kick.....

If you really enjoy beer you should get a Mr. Beer kit and try your hand at home brewing. Nothing is better than tasting your own beer......

Not all high gravity beers are craemy. The more dry hoppy beers have no creamy taste, but more of a crisp bite or refreshing taste.

Yeah, I just don't enjoy the really thick "creamy" type beers like Guiness, myself.
But I love the bitters/premium lagers! I buy more Heineken than anything else just because it's always available, but Grolsch is probably my favorite (especially in the 4-pack of really thick glass bottles with the little hinged pop tops...pictured second in the photo below). I like Becks and have been known to drink some St. Pauli Girl, too.

Not a fan of the hoppy stuff, honestly tired of the micro's trying to pass it off as the be all end all of beers just because they dump a shitload of hops in the kettle. My favorite is Yuengling, preferably on tap. Guinness is always good but I have to be in the mood for it. Around the country where I can't get Yuengling I like Newcastle and Dos Equis amber. Of course the best beer is the one I have in my hand :D
