Guys, I might have to send this 1 down the road. I have a '97 XR600-R that has been tagged & titled and is 100% street legal. I have a bunch of extras and will go into details with anyone who might be interested. I need to see if there is an interest for a cool dual-sport. I'm thinking $2500 with everything. Any interest out there???

I use it for a 56-58 mile commute and it is wonderful. I have the knobbies for it, but not mounted. I have rewound the stator, added a new gel battery (which is not even needed) a 5-gallon Clarke tank and installed a 15-tooth countershaft sprocket. It cruises nicely and puts out a ton of light! The horn, and blinkers work fine. This is a solid bike. The speedo is a Trailtech Enduro so the odometer resets whenever I refuel. There is no way of knowing the exact miles or hours, but I'm the second owner since being titled and am the only one to actually use it. The PO couldn't stand not having bright lights, blinkers, etc. I corrected that and ride it regularly. The shape of the bike shows it has been cared for. Unfortunately the IRS has calculated that I owe them $1700 and my son has to have $875 worth of dental work done. So.....

As cool as that would be, realistically not the right tool at this time. Thanks for a cool offer. Any other time, we'd be swapping #'s

I guess I need to add a few more details. Performance-wise the bike has a full DMC exhaust system and a UNI air filter. The carb has been jetted to match and rarely needs any choke. There's new Renthal bars, grips, tubes, bulbs, and a bunch of other odd & ends to make this a rock-solid commuter. The dual-sport tires are IRC's and the new tubes were pre-treated with slime. The knobbies are Bridgestones I believe. The dual-sport kit is from Electrosport. It is a fully enclosed kit with a keyed ignition. Like I said earlier, I replaced the gel battery which doesn't even get used since I rewound the stator. The turn-signals and horn work fine. The digital dash works fine. Those mirrors are from '08-'09 KTM 450's or 530's and work very well. The plastic is in great shape. I also have a red headlight surround which matches the stock tank better. Since I changed the seat-cover/graphics when I put the new tank on, I chose to buy a white fascia. For those that think the asking price is too high, feel free to make an offer. I don't really want to separate the parts or return it to stock just to save you a few dollars. Feel free to PM for more details

I will consider some partial trades, but I need to recoup most of this money. BUMP
