Im wondering do I HAVE to install a power commander or juice box with the exhaust? Is it something that I can install at a later time? I cant find a good price on one yet, and I want to wait it out for a bit, if I install the exhaust without it, will I kill my bike? PLEASE tell me I will just burn major gas....

Is it a full system or a slip on? Full system ........yes. Without it your bike will more than likely run very lean.

Yes, its the full system. No one makes a slip on for my bike,

what does "it will run lean" mean, in laymens terms?

From the factory, the fuel/air mapping is preset to work optimally with the stock exhaust and intake. When you modify either of the two, you will throw this ratio off just a bit depending on how major your mods are. With a slip-on, you're not changing much of the characteristics of your exhaust system, i.e. back pressure, so it's usually forgivable to go without installing a Power Commander or the like. With a full system, however, you alter your exhaust characteristics quite a bit and it can cause the bike to run lean. Running lean is when your air/fuel ratio leans a bit heavier on the air side and not quite heavy enough on the fuel side (too much air for the amount of fuel being delivered). This typically causes the engine to run much hotter and places unnecessary wear and tear on the internals. Installing a Power Commander or the like will allow you to either decrease the amount of air being driven into the engine, or more likely increase the amount of fuel being delivered in order for the bike to run optimally with the new compression characteristics. This is all just my understanding of how things work, but I know there are people on here with much more knowledgeable insight into this topic :D

you can always buy it, and have it sit around at the house till you have the money to do the power commander, then have them both installed at the same time

I'd save the cash you're spending on the juice box and just go with a power commander and dyno from Huey at Marietta Motorsports. Out of the box tuning options are almost always sub-par.
