fuel issue sounds like a weak fuel pump

ohh yea forgot that part the fuel pump is priming great and im also waiting for the self test light on my dash to go out before starting as far as the fuel pump being weak it seems like it would still start up at least after a few turns even if it was weak and i haven't considered that only because its runs like a champ once i reset the ignition and get her rolling

If fuel pump can not provide the proper pressure it wont run at all.

thats why im thinking its some solenoid somewhere but i dont have a wiring schematic to try and track it down. im hoping that someone on here has delt with this issue before and may know what one i could start with i also have it posted on 1000rr.net

Negative , I have ran into many times that the fuel pump is weak at the priming point but once it gets started it will give enough pressure for you not to notice it . First thing first is put a fuel pressure tester on it and see , reason why I am pointing this out is that you said you have to key it on and off a few times before it will start well lets see here....

Key on and off wont help if the following is bad

ignition
starter
battery
electrical issues
blinker fluid lol

BUT a fuel issue can cause this 110%!! of the issue your having and when you key on and off that is allowing it to build pressure . Regardless what you might think or not think just do a simple check takes 15 mins to check it out.PLUS they had a issue with this on your bike and I think it was something about a return issue causing your problem . To fix was replacing the fuel pump.
