Very very little gravel and zero po-po...great day for a ride.
There were a good many riders up there also.

Love the 52/Ft Mtn run! Don't know why it's so underrated.

It's just that it's sort of isolated. A lot of people trailer their bikes all the way to Dahlonega so they aren't too likely to do the flat stuff you have to cross to get to Fort. It's OK. If it got the traffic the loop got, there'd be a lot more police there.

were up there today also towards the end of the day.
The mexican restaurant in Ellijay is closed. They have a BBQ place instead.

I rode there once by myself. I found it to be a fun run to make. But it is way far away from home to do it regularly. If I lived closer like some of the guys on here, I would have hit it up a lot. Here's a panorama from the top across from the cabin rental place.....

What route do you guys take. Never been up there myself, is there a loop or just 52 there and back?

no loop really for Fort Mtn, esp from Blood mtn. I take 52 to Dalonega 60/19/129. 515 can also be taken but its long straight, flat, and boring lol. As is alot of 52 between Ellijay and Dalonega, but at least is country side n not super slab.
friend of mine was telling me of a better way last week but I dont know the details yet.

Just map quest Chatsworth, GA....zoom out a little and then follow hwy 52 east out of town. That is the good side if the mtn. About 1-2 miles east of the top it gets straight.....but the west side is where its at.
We ran into a Nissan GTR on the way back....he wanted to play so we indulged him : )
Nice car...fast too!!
