DAMNIT!!!!
i knew it would happen, it was pretty much inevitable for the past few years now. But i have been playing hockey since i could walk, grew up in chicago most of my life playing, played in minnesota and canada as well. i LOVE hockey, always will, and it sucks not being able to go watch any NHL teams live.

I hate that once again Atlanta can't keep a hockey team. I went to a few games and had hoped to go back this next season. I will miss watching live hockey.
I'm done with the NHL... This whole move was a crock. Atl Spirit Grp is a bunch of douchebags and the NHL did nothing to step in and even attempt to see if a seller was local here. I hope the league goes bankrupt..
Gwinnett Gladiators are still here however... at least for now..

As long as Don Waddell is involved with the organization it will never amount to much. Owners and the people they hired to run the franchise were at best not capable of running a pro franchise and at worst incompetent. Wonder how long it will be before the Hawks follow the Thrashers out of Atlanta?

I've always enjoyed the Gladiators games. Those are about as good and easier to get to. Support that team.

They usually rank among the top franchises for attendance among the East Coast Hockey League and re-upped for a 3 year extension of their lease.
I'll be seeing more of them in the upcoming season.

Sums my thoughts up.
Season ticket holder here and I am just disappointed. Sucks so bad. Watching the league bend backwards to keep the Yotes in Phx yet they do nothing here and in a blink of an eye they're gone.

yeah I feel for ya Ramm.. I was never a season ticket holder simply cuz I could pretty easily get tickets through my work..
I do enjoy the Glads however, and I will defintiely attend more of those games now.

from what i understand, they did try to find a buyer to keep the here. But none of the deals panned out. there was even a group of local ex-pros, including tom glavine, that was looking at purchasing the thrash. None of those deals panned out. and the only buyers still in the running were the group from winnepeg.
garry bettman has a hardon for teams in the south. he absolutely wants hockey to succeed down here.
like said before, the ownership and management is among the lowest paid in the league, you get what you pay for. they barely belong running the concession stands.
good ownership is key to a successful team

I read that ASG had a local buyer all worked out, but ASG Effed up the due-diligence procedures so the deal never got done.. Either way it sounds like piss-poor management.
