I thought I was gonna see a bunch of naked chicks behind the windows that some guy was watching. I'm highly disappointed. I'd rather be one of the guys just standing there doing nothing.

I wouldn't make it a career choice, but if I was young and had the opportunity, I'd spend a couple of years traveling the country, plus the trips to Le Mans, with a well financed top tier racing team like that. You won't get rich. I don't know how much the crew guys get paid but you do get to be in the middle of the action. Just the trip to Le Mans would be worth it. It'd be pretty exciting stuff.

It is exciting work. But unless you are the driver its almost not worth it...its is hard work and crazy long hours. Couldn't count the times when working races that I was up at 6am one morning and was lucky to get a 30 minute cat nap the next three days with practice, qualifying and then the race.

Still want the job, it may look routine, but at the end of the day, it's a hot pit lane in an ongoing race.

The Corvette incident was yesterday during the 12 hrs of Sebring, the fire, 1994 German Grand Prix.

You called me drunk with the sound of a stolen car buzzing around the track or something. It was like 2am.
