View Full Version : Difference between Scorpion EXO 400 and 700?
Other than the materials that make up the actual helmet, is there a difference between the two?

IMO the 700 fits narrow heads better and there's less wind noise. Try them both on and see which one fits better.

I've heard that the 700 is a bit heavier than the 400. That's the only difference imo......I also think the 700 graphics are better as well..

The 700 definitely looks like it vents better then the 400. You can see this just looking at the way the vents are set up. GypysAngel has owned both the 400 & 700. I've only owned the 700.
In the blowing the lid off article, the 400 scored better then the 700 just because it transferred less G's to the person's head.

ive always owned the 700, im only my second and i think for the price you can get them for they are hard to beat. The 400 like stated may be a little bit lighter and less vent. If the 1000 wasnt so darn heavy id like to have one.

I own a couple of each. The 700 vents are better, and easier to operate (and just understand) than the 400. The 700 is supposedly a bit lighter, but I never notice a difference, I ride naked bikes, I'm used to a lot of wind buffeting haha. Both good quality, economical helmets that I would without hesitation recommend. They can be had online for good prices, especially if you can find closeout sizes or colors.

I think they fit the same except the 400 is tighter in the chin/cheek area. I wear an XL in the 700 but I can't even get the 400 over my head in an XL.
They both are great helmets though.
