Saturday a Slice of the Cherohala

A bit of video from Saturday, a slice of the Cherohala. I must comment on the sheer number of LEO's we encountered. More than we usually see in a whole summer much less one day. First heading North on 60 a sheriff running South on 60 near the Gas/resturant/hunting lic place. Second another Sheriff outside McCaysville (Thanks for the helmet tap and light flash). 3rd, forth, fifth and six were manning a roadblock just out side McCaysville requesting license and insurance papers. Seventh was Ranger Webb already involved in pulling over another bike near the riverside burger joint at the start of the Cherohala. Which is usually a good thing since we now know he won't be further along to run into. Eight well.... he is in the video. And ultimately ninth on the way back south on 60 a helmet tap again, then 10 assorted bikers without a single indication of a LEO presence, we finally (60 is real long at 45 MPH) encounter a sheriff in a SUV running radar parked in the parking lot of the lumber place on the long curve. Otherwise a great day to be on two, and I was one tired puppy by the time I made it home.

First time trying out the Vholdr contourHD, still running the POV.1 as backup. The 1080P just looks so much better than the 520 the POV puts out. Sound on the contourHD sucks though. The uncompressed 1080P video is pretty incredible.

Guy on the BMW ahead of me got a ticket for 60 in a 45. He turned his lights on just as I came around the corner, luckily there was some snow melt runoff and I was doing less than 55. I thought he was after me at first. When he passed I did a U turn and headed back.

yep second time on the cherry Cola, don't think I will be dragging him back there soon. Glad we ran into the snow melt and slowed it down. There was the possibility of real real ugly. As is the $160 is still cheaper than a track day. :p

Not sure what the track has to do with a most excellent day spent on the Cherahola. I have spent over $30,000 on track days, I have spent 0 dollars on traffic tickets. what is your point?

Whats up Derrick, yeah I guess I gotta do a trackday to ride with you now huh? lol. The CBR is still great, about 9k miles on her and I barely get to ride it. Have done a few trips on it already and I have some big ones planned for this year. Hopefully I'll make a stt day too.

He is getting there, still a little hesitant that he is going to hit the sweet spot and the power will kick in at the wrong time. Other than that he is loving it.

When I try to play your videos, the player shrinks to a tiny window. I can expand it to full screen but that's too much and even if I try HD, it's not. I have the latest flash player. Youtube works. MotoGP Highres+ works. What have you done?

If I try to save it, I get "Error when parsing a response header".

I believe it is in the SmugMug conversion, I will try uploading in some different formats to see what works best with their process. Thanks for the feedback.

Sort of. Much better. Its a little big now on my laptop screen, but maybe not at home. I run my laptop at 1280x800. Home monitor is real HD so probably no problem there.
