Daytona sport bike is some of the best racing right now, IMO and the superbike races are pretty darn good as well. I don't get it.

I haven't been an AMA fan since DMG took over BUT... the races are awesome lately. Last weekends racing was great. If they ever come back to Road Atlanta I will be there.

The racing has been great this year but there scheduling has sucked. I wish I knew "the rest of the story".

Not really a lot to it, VIR doesn't think they'll make any money.

no VIR? no Rd Atl.? what kind of deal is that ?

It's the kind where it costs a lot of cash up front to pay AMA Pro and advertise the event. Not enough potential income means no deal. Our deal is one where we actually pay the track to be there instead of being paid to show up so our big races at both venues are still happening...

ya just ask me on how bad it sucks being a vendor at an AMA event at Road Atlanta and the people that show is less than a couple of thousand for both days of the weekend

With no AMA at Road Atlanta we've been talking to the track about promoting the GNF as much as we can. I can guarantee we'd be a lot cheaper on vendor fees if you're interested in coming out. It won't be as fancy but there will be enthusiasts there.

I don't think is a matter of not making money, I think it's how much they think they'll loose.

It'll be fancy enough so long as you're there, Mongo! :)

We are working on Kessler DJ'ing a party Saturday night. Also plan on a kids trick or treat through the paddock and feeling out the chances of mini racing on the school course in T6-7 as well as a stunt show again.

I kind of doubt it. As much as JU is right, they still didn't have a contract. A letter of agreement is great but I don't believe the AMA side either, David Atlas is a lawyer and didn't mention a binding letter of agreement in his statements so I think maybe there isn't enough for a suit. That and suing means no AMA Pro at VIR ever. As it is JU just nuked his being able to hold a Team Hammer school/trackday there ever again. It'll be interesting to see if he's allowed on the property at NJMP too.... :D
