Finally got the VE pump sealed up and going. Replaced the timing belt and tensioner as well. I'm kinda surprised by it. It's got power everything even heated seats and a sunroof. Not counting my labor, I've got only ~$200 in parts to fix it. :)

Gotta get the insurance and tag on it tomorrow if I get home in time. And wash it...

I'm gonna give it a month or so and see how I like it and what kinda mileage it gets. Otherwise I'll probably list it up for sale. Kinda wanted a Jetta more, but ehh it's a diesel.

had a 97 vw passat was a great car. Got 200k miles on it then the heater coil blew out and it was all down hill from there haha. IT had the vr6 though, but i only drove it at the time to keep the miles off my wrx.

I'm jealous for sure. One of those would work so much better as a tow vehicle then my Grand Am! haha.

What year was that again?

It's a 95. A little older than I wanted, but it's ok.

I'd like to find some nicer wheels. Those hubcab vatozone blades are horrible.
