As being a past student athlete, ive learned that majority of school do "sneeky" things. The question is, when will they get caught. Paying student athletes has always been a topic for the ncaa. Hell, i know i was poor at a time n my life at school, but there was also a time i was taking care of (and not by my family). People think coaches have control over it...nope...boosters/alumni run the sport programs....so when you have doctors/lawyers cpme from your school and support you, they will show it.....

:stupid:

If they want to put the microscope on any major univeristy, shi@t is going to rear it's ugly head. Miami is a big focus due to the fact that Miami has produced more NFL players then any other universtiy.

Agreed. TP from Ohio Sucks made 2500 off his jersey and ring. The school sold his jersey for 2.4 Mill. Something wrong with that.

So every athlete who signs something outside of the campus is getting paid? Really? You think Scam-Man and 100's of other high profile athletes didn't do the same thing? Paleese.. Grasping at straws... The U of A compliance department put it to rest.. And trust me, after the years of probabtion for REAL issues we had in the early 2000's, our compliance department is stricter than most on this stuff.. If there was an ounce of impropriety in this whole thing, they would not have just shut the book on the case..

Auburn's compliance should take a lesson and disassociate themselves from perpetual bad influences.. (cough cough Bobby Lowder) and they would have been smart to disassocaite Cecil from the program from the very beginning..

if you recall, your compliance department put the book sales to rest too (and that is the reason UA is on probation today). the UA compliance department could not thoroughly investigate saban taking a dump.

and of course athletes sign stuff. but seriously, why would a high profile athlete like trent richardson go to a mens clothing store and sign stacks of jerseys for free? why would mark ingrams national championship jersey be hanging in Ttwon Clothing? Mark
just gave them that jersey out of the kindless of his heart? please.

and bobby lowder is on the board of trustees. they cannot get rid of him. :D

As I recall, the stupid book incident was discvoered by both the NCAA and UA compliance around the same time.. No time to act. They didn't just sweep it under the rug tho.. We self imposed suspensions before the NCAA ever got involved.. IF they thought something of T-town menswear, suspensions would have gone out already... instead, they disasscoated the owner, probably more to keep the media from making somehting out of nothing rather than any real wrong doing.

And I know he is on the board, and because of that, ya'll will ALLLLWAYS be under scrutiny.. That dude is the biggest crook in the state... and you know it! :)
