View Full Version : Best Fast Food?

Watching JSkeezy's "hillbilly hijinks" video at the WHATABURGER got me to thinking. What's everyone's vote for the best fast food on the planet? I got to go with In N Out Burger from Phoenix, AZ. They actually peel the potatoes right there at the restaurant and the burgers taste just as fresh although I didn't see any cows hanging around out back when I was there.

I used to love McDonalds' burgers when I lived in Baltimore. I could eat big macs, double cheeses, quarter pounders all day but I had a quarter pounder the other day and it was replusive. I do ♥ the new double filet o fish though. I dont care if its hoki or not.

Au contraire Wally....In N Out's burger is really good not that I eat many burgers anymore. I also had a great meal at the Newnan Captain D's last week, the broiled tilapia over rice with brocolli and a salad as the side dishes. I eat at this location frequently and the meal I got last week was especially tasty.

Freakin' A man. McDonald's Burgers have gotten grosser to me as I've gotten older, and the fries are no longer the delicious golden brown things they used to be, the chicken nuggets have gotten grosser (actually, I think they stayed the same, I just learned how gross they are compared to real chicken haha).
Burger King's burgers are better, on a good day, but still generally greasy and fast foodish, and their fries are only good one in 5 times I eat there. The new Steakhouse XT burgers are better than the average fast food burger, I guess.
Wendy's is my favorite fast food, I guess, since I eat there most often (often being relative, I have cut back my fast food intake considerably). The black n blue is delicious, their fries aren't the best out there, but they're consistently good, and that's nice.
Chick Fil A... 'nuff said. They're awesome haha. I eat there at least once a week, it's right across the street from work, and can be healthy if done right.
5 guys is delicious, the fries are awesome. They could be a little less greasy, but I don't care, they taste damn good.. just can't eat there often.
The roommate and I make roadtrips to popeyes, cuz they really do blow the crap out of pretty much everything else listed.

1) Varsity food is nasty!
2) $6 for a double burger aint that bad at all considering the freshness and quality
3) Most sit down restaurants charge $8-$10 for a burger plus tax.

There's one on Windy Hill, just west of I-75. ;)
Chic-fil-a currently has the best FF salad but that changes a lot. McD's burgers are awful. They don't taste like meat at all. Just some gray greasy thing. They're the worst. BK's taste the best but they're still no where near as good as a good home made one.

Yea you get a side. When I get lunch from 5 Guys its usually about 10-11 bucks including a drink, no drink would be about 8-9 plus you get more food I think.
Yea I'm not a native so we went there once and was like ACK. I just went in with high expectations though because I always heard about the place I thought the food was REALLY good. All in all I would eat there if I was hungry but I wouldnt go out of the way to go there.

When I think fast food, I think it has to have a drive through...
For burgers, Carls's Jr / Hardees make a pretty damn good flame grilled burger. Wendy's is decent too.
Being from the west coast, I do like me some In N' Out. I also used to love Jack in Box.
McDonald's is simply awful. Although last weekend I made homemade Big Macs on the grill. McD's was on to something, but wrecked it...
Jack in the Box, Jumbo Burger best deal for the price. Also , since they killed those kids in the early 90's they have been top notch on their safety codes ( I should know I use to work at one). For safe and good eats, Jack in the Box for fast food.

Love me some Chipotle. I dunno if it counts as fast food, but it's quick, healthy and seriously yummy -- not to mention gluten free! Panera is a close 2nd for me. (They have a drive-thru, so they must be fast food!)
I don't really eat at traditional fast food places any more. I've gotten really sensitive to grease and a few greasy French fries usually give me heartburn for the day. I miss Five Guys, though, with those yummy mushrooms.

Anyone ever tried a UFood place? Only place I've ever seen one was in Naples, FL, but evidently they're a growing chain? It's healthy fast food. The beef and chicken are all organic and delicious, the vegetables are organic and fresh, the rice is brown and healthy, the tortillas are spinash, the buns are whole weat, the fries are fried in some unique way that I can't think of right now. It's priced slightly above what you'd pay at a place like Wendy's, but for the difference in quality and taste, I'm more than happy to pay an extra buck or two.

Some of you guys mentioning places that are not even here in the state, I don’t think they count. Even if you say it’s good, we can go there and try it and have an opinion.
So the ones that we have here in ATL I would say for me CFA is the best. Another one that we have here at work is Roy’s Cheestakes. From the former owner of Philly conn. They are big and affordable. They are located here in Smyrna(284 and S. Cobb)
Popeyes is also good for the finger and not chicken. If you want good fried chicken go to Pollo Campero, located in Roswell(Hwy 9 and Holcomb Br) best ever.
For subs, Publix, Jersey Mikes, Blimpie, Larry’s subs.
For burgers, Hardees and Checkers

Publix subs are awesome. My coworkers and I get them at least one a week, they're more reasonable than most of the fast food type sub shops, and DELICIOUS. The Boar's Head subs are even better! I usually pay the dollar or so extra to get Boar's Head meat and cheese in my sub, but you don't need to, the Publix deli meats and cheeses are delicious. The chicken tender sub is always good. I've been trying to be healthy(ier) and eating just cold cuts though. I'd definitely recommend you give 'em a try. The philly cheesesteak is delicious too!

WTF?
They dont have a kids menu so it was probably a little burger (1 patty). If you ordered 2 regular fries thats about $5 in fries and then drinks are like $1.59 a piece so yea I can see you spending $21. Next time just get 1 drink because they have free refills if you dine in and 1 regular fry as they dump extra fries in the bag. You'll save like 6 bucks.
