Since I've gotten that ZX-6r a lot of stuff has just fallen into place of "I've always wanted to do that". Like the weekend at Nashville letting me get back on the track with WERA and this time on the podium!

Well I've always said I wanted to ride at Daytona since first going there and working for Scott Carpenter back in 03. Well just like the Nashville race stuff is just clicking with Britt Lynn coming in the shop and saying "didn't you always want to ride Daytona?" "Well yeah!" I said, all bad ass, honestly thinking it would never happen. "Cool!" he countinued, "Have your bike at my house next week and I'll take it down. We're doing the Team Hammer track day next Thursday before the CCS weekend!"

Oh crap... Less than a week away and I'm not lying I'm getting nervous allready! I can't wait!

I really do need to stop looking at pics like this:

That and Indy are two of the places I always wanted to ride. :)

It's so awesome to see guys like Eslick and Herrin banging elbows at 175 on that banking, I'm jealous! You going to take a superbike down there to twist its throttle in anger? :D

bone stock zx-6r! It's got slip-on, race plastic and a steering dampener!
I may have rear sets by then. Maybe.

Maybe you should put some stiffer springs on it. Do the math.

Trust me, done the math. Turns out that parts cost money!
When I do that for other people they're paying me to do it.

I need a sponsor.

it's cheaper to lose some weight LOL. The springs on my cousins Bmw s1000 RR were priced in the 1k range for that install and his current springs are maxxed out from what Huey mentioned. Most bikes are designed for 180 pds riders if your over that equation specialty part's are going to cost money

Those are expensive springs! Fork springs for my SV were only about $120. Since I expect Huey could do the work himself, a shock spring shouldn't be too much more. Riding the banking with the suspension bottomed out sounds pretty exciting, though. Be sure to post some on board video. And really, I'm jealous and hope you have a blast.

Just springs = not so much. But for the ones I need it'd end up over powering the rebound valving then where am I? Launching myself into the Atlantic! Hahaha
If I end up keeping this bike I'd love to put some Ohlins in it but we'll see.

I have 2 HD Go-pros charged and ready! Gonna do some maintenance on the bike tommorow and work on some cool camera angles so you won't just be looking at my butt.

bro its gonna be a blast. ive done daytona quite a few times and always loved it. scared me nutz quite a few times but its a track where EVERYONE has to ride it once. I almost bought an R1 one year at the start of the season just for it....damn i should have done it:) just make sure your engine makes it as thats one place engines blow up more everytime i was there
