Yep. That was in the afternoon. I left the targets with my friend because I had to head out. I told him he could hold on to them until next time. It was one of his customers that trashed it. I hope he pays for it like he said he would. I don't know the guy at all really. It's a $300+ target!

We had fun shooting while I was there. :)

Mig weld the holes up, grind them flush, then shoot 'em some more. After they pay you for them of course...

Man, I have not seen a 556 do that. I know there are different metals for rifle/pistol and the way it is cut (plasma vs laser) keeps the metal harder, but still, 25-50yrds with 556 is nuts. I might grab a sewer plate next week lol

I tried shooting some steels with my AR and thought I was missing... every shot was zipping right through the target and it didnt even swing.

Brinell 500 rated target? I know M855 did that kind of damage but not M193.

why don't you get a "tree" with the plates that swing and we can play duelling plates... :)

Don't remember if it was AR500 or what steel it was. It was an MGM B-C zone target. They make excellent targets. I'll have to look it up on their site. It's angled and swings good too so I think that helps dissipate the energy as well.

Before this the target had seen 400-500 rounds of IMI M193 and PMC in FMJ from that range and several hundred 9mm rounds with almost no damage to the target. This stuff trashed it pretty good.
