+1 - and I have but was lucky to get away with it...but I did ride on the grass for most of it and it took 1.5 hrs instead of 20 minutes.
Ride free and live hard because you’ll never know when you’ll be called up for that final ride.

i don't know if insurance has to pay if the law requires a helmet and you don't wear one. if insurance still has to pay, then yes. i would cancel his motorcycle coverage. if insurance doesn't have to pay for his injuries if he rides w/o a helmet in violation of the law and cracks his skull, then i wouldn't care. what was so freaking urgent that he had to whisk his friend off down the road without a helmet? maybe he can control his bike, but he can't control the environment and that is usually what results in crashes. and no one knows when it's coming. admit it Todd, he was just plain stupid. remember the guy that posted a year or so ago about busting his arse in his driveway and wishing he had his gear on...

from time to time i leave my helmet on the mirror on my bike when i go in a store and it occurs to me that someone could steal it, and i don't care if i'm only 5 minutes from home, i'll call someone to come get me or bring me a helmet.

Maybe there was an urgent reason.

A lot of people will argue with you that riding with out a helmet isn't stupid and do it daily.

I guess it goes with the cop territory. once you've seen a kid with a hole in his head and gray goo draining out, there is no arguing the point.

I yield to the gentleman from Conyers. it does "hurt" others though in that it drives up insurance and medical costs for everyone else. physically it doesn't hurt them though, no. and if my bitching causes him, or anyone to think twice about not wearing a helmet, then it's worth it. it's just friendly bitching. tough love if you wanna call it that...

Well, I was in Florida this week so you can imagine what I saw. Surprisingly though, I saw quiet a few full face helmets.

Do you ever occur to you what cops have to deal with lol. Seriously many professions have people with limited personality it's just the nature of the beast
