    safety razors

    got one about a month ago. this thing is f'n awesome. why have I shaved with those POS cartridge things for so long?

    I asked myself the same question when I switched from cartridge to safety razors. "What have I been doing with my life? How did I live before this?"

    Been using them for ~3 years now. Occasionally I even consider trying a straight razor.

    agreed. I have nicked the corner of my nose twice, but other than that, this thing is perfect.

    I've been using a Merkur 23c for about 5 years now, with a brush and shaving soap. I will not go back to cartridges. It's the only thing other than aa good straight razor shave that gives even a remotely smooth shave. My beard just laughs at electric razors... never could find one that worked, even in high school.
